Approvals


Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is carried out on all products before despatch, including Dye Pen/Radiography to ensure the safety and efficiency of all our skid mounted package units. Other NDT includes Leak Test, Hydraulic Pressure Test, Vacuum Test, Heat Treatment and Proof Load Test. Products are finished using a range of techniques which include shot and bead blasting, polishing, painting, pickling and passivating. We can supply a complete skid package design service which will give clients a range of options including the incorporation and calculation of pipe work systems, pipe stress analysis, vessel fabrication, pneumatic and electrical systems, instrumentation and insulation, as well as guaranteeing testing and weather proofing.

Design

The CAD/CAM based design facilities, with internet links, provide a speedy response to new designs, modifications and product/component development.


Turned Parts

The latest CNC bar-fed lathes produce turned parts to high tolerances from a variety of metals and materials.


Assembly

The on-site assembly shop manufactures products and sub-assemblies from its components. Qualified welders and fitters provide us with the capacity to supply a finished product or sub-assembly including electrical, electronic, air and hydraulic installations. Seven dedicated production lines which cover sub-arc, mig, and tig welding. Each line is based on either volume or batched production.


Preparation

In-house facilities are provided for producing the wide range of metal components for the final assembly process- i.e. dished ends, bracketry and plate profiling.

Powder Coating

Our modern powder coating conveyor plant includes a three stage pre-treatment ensuring quality finishes. This well established facility is also offered on a sub-contract basis.


Welding

With seven production lines operate which cover sub-arc, robotic, mig, and tig welding, all are welders are coded and maintain a very high quality in this division.


CNC Plasma Cutting / Profiling

United Engg have recently invested in CNC Plasma cutting 8 metre x 2.5 metre table capacity. This new investment offers the following cutting capacity: Up to 200mm thickness carbon using Hypertherm Power Source To support this new laser cutting machine we have our own off line CAD/CAM programming centre and the capabilities of downloading most laser / plasma cutting drawing no matter what format. This new laser cutting investment has added a new dimension to our already well equipped factory. The plasma Cutting has also helped produce many components that were previously CNC machined, therefore aiding towards reduced component costs and improved delivery times.
